HirePlanner Internal Messenger — User Guide
The HirePlanner Internal Messenger helps recruiters, supporting recruiters and hiring managers to communicate together and keep up to date about candidates and job applicants who are in the interview process. This tool was designed to help everyone involved in the hiring process keep up to date on their candidates' hiring status.
Below are the main ways you can communicate with Hiring Managers and manage your messages.
Communicating with a Hiring Manager from a Candidate Application
The easiest way to discuss a specific candidate with a Hiring Manager is directly from the candidate application page.
Steps:
Open the requisition assigned to the Hiring Manager.
Select the candidate application you would like to discuss.
On the application page, you will see several conversation tabs that organize discussions by participant type:
Internal – Conversations with Hiring Managers and internal recruiters
Candidate – Messages sent to the candidate
Agencies – Conversations with recruiting agents
To discuss the applicant internally (with the hiring manager), simply click the “Internal” tab.
Type your message and send it to notify the Hiring Manager and other internal stakeholders.
This approach helps keep all discussions about a specific candidate linked directly to their application.
Accessing All Your Messages
You can also view all your conversations from the Mails section.
Steps:
Click the “Mails” tab located in the top navigation bar.
From the dropdown menu, select “My Messages.”
This section displays the list of conversations you are currently part of.
Viewing Only Internal Conversations
From "My Messages" section, you can view and access all your conversations with Hiring Managers, Agents and Candidates. If you want to focus only on discussions with your Hiring Managers or internal team members:
Go to Mails → My Messages.
Select the filter labeled “Internal” (orange tag).
Select the name of the Hiring Manager or Candidate in order to access your conversation more easily.
This will display only internal conversations with Hiring Managers and other members of the recruiting team.
Using the Internal Messenger ensures that communication stays organized, transparent, and connected to each candidate’s application, helping teams collaborate more efficiently throughout the hiring process.
